Joel D. Comanda, P.E. (Project Manager)  (Joel@InLandDesign.net)

Joel has worked in land development engineering for more than 15 years.  He graduated from Geneva College with a Civil Engineering Degree in 1998 and started his career at Shoup Engineering, doing both Municipal Engineering (reviews, road and sewer projects, and grant writing) and Private Land Developments.  Since then, he has worked at Vollmer, Stantec, GAI and Inland Design.  While a majority of his clients have been private, institutional and commercial clients, he continues to be involved in municipal reviews and projects.  Joel has a thorough understanding of the municipal approvals process, the importance of careful engineering reviews, and the important role that a municipal engineer plays in protecting a municipality’s resources as well as its identity.

Joel lives in Kennett Square with his wife and 5 kids.  When not confined to his desk, he enjoys the Great Outdoors and outside-activities, including mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, or just reading in the sun.  He also enjoys fixing bikes and doing projects around the house.
